New Monitor!

Hello ALL :D

Happy December to you even though we are almost half way through already! I hope everyone is having a happy and safe Holiday so far. I have been busy working, however all of my Black Friday purchases are in and I have redone my setup. I am in complete love with my new webcam and microphone- both look nice and fit in with my current set up.

I am also a lucky girl whose birthday came early- and my parents got me a monitor!!

Well they gave me the money to get a monitor. :D I had been following all of the different sales- and for each inexpensive monitor with decent specs, I was googling looking for reviews from the various Tech reviewers on youtube. I eventualy settled on getting a: BenQ MOBIUZ EX2510 24.5" Full HD IPS HDR 144Hz FreeSync Premium Gaming Monitor from Box.co.uk (I'll include link as its on sale!)

https://www.box.co.uk/BenQ-MOBIUZ-EX2510-24.5-Full-HD-IPS-HDR_2995564.html

Here are the full specs:

  • 24.5" Display

  • IPS Panel

  • Full HD 1920 x 1080 Resolution

  • AMD FreeSync Premium

  • 1ms Response Time

  • 144Hz Refresh Rate

  • HDMI | DisplayPort Connectivity

  • Headphone Socket

  • Height Adjustable

  • 100 x 100mm VESA Mountable

  • 16:9 Aspect Ratio

  • 400 cd/m² Brightness

  • 1000:1 Contrast Ratio

  • 2 Year Manufacturers Warranty

Based on my current budget (basically nothing because I am broke) and what I am looking for my monitor to be used for- combo of content creation/gaming - this was the best option for myself and my setup.

The monitor just came today- so I haven't had the chance to use it for a nice hardcore gaming session- but I am in love with the look and such!

My advise as you are tech shopping- anything you see on a deal do the research first to see if it is even worth buying. I almost bought things, that once i found reviews- I was happy I didnt. I did miss out on a different monitor as I was trying to get the best value for money.

New Setup! Including my new monitor and keyboard. I am planning to backlight with some RGB light strips- but I am not planning on doing so until after Christmas- I've spent too much money as it is lol.

Im hoping the new setup will allow me to finally start streaming and to get more into my coding courses through code academy. I am also hoping to maybe get some cool stuff for Christmas- but we will see.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

-Fi
